Jo & Matt are friends of mine who I have known for a few years now. We met through our church, Canterbury Vineyard. As soon as they booked their Hempstead House wedding, they got in touch to book me as their photographer. This was a little different to other weddings this year however, as I was also under instructions to enjoy the day like a guest as well! I was invited as part of the day and was seated for afternoon tea with some other friends that were there!

First up on the day was the last stages of bridal prep, which took place in a lovely bridal suite at Hempstead house. Jo was incredibly chilled and relaxed as was everyone else with songs from mama mia playing in the background. When I arrived hair and makeup had already been done, and Jo was waiting for her dress to arrive.

This day was all about a celebration with family and friends. Jo & Matt were already officially married at a registry office before this day. Today was a service led by their Pastor from Canterbury Vineyard church and to make their vows to each other before God. From the bridal suite, it was a short walk through the hotel to the room where the ceremony was being held. This room also doubled up as the reception for afternoon tea as well. Everything ran like clockwork on the day and the team from Hempstead House were brilliant.

For the couple portraits, we took advantage of a lovely room within the hotel as well as the grounds. The grounds around the hotel, although small have some lovely spots for couple portraits. I thoroughly enjoyed my day here with Jo & Matt. Taking time out to relax with friends during the day was a little bit special too! Below are a selection of images from Jo & Matt’s day.
