St Mary’s church, bletchingley, surrey

Catriona and Graham’s wedding was on a beautiful sunny day and took place in 2 counties! The church ceremony was held near to where they live in Bletchingley, Surrey. The reception was just over the border in neighboring Kent at their local sailing club in Chipstead.  Catriona and Graham had very much put their stamp on this day with lots of diy touches for the wedding. This included Catriona arranging the flowers herself in church, as well as all the decorations for the reception venue. This included personalised table decorations for their nautical theme, also including colourful decorations reminding them of a favourite travel destination in Nepal

Travel to and from the church was also a favour from a friend in their sailing club, with a beautiful vintage Jensen as their wedding car for the day. A really lovely touch was the confetti guard of honour as they came out the church. This was with guests holding up paddles as an archway for them to walk through.

Chipstead Sailing Club

From the church it was on to the reception a half hour drive away. The sailing club is just that, and not a wedding venue. However the site that it sits on, high up and overlooking a big lake is just beautiful. It certainly made for a beautiful backdrop for their day, and even more special by them taking a quick celebration paddle in their canoe on the lake.
