Claire and Robin’s July city wall tower wedding was a lovely and relaxed affair. The wedding ceremony was held in the Zoar chapel at City Hall Tower weddings in Canterbury. The wedding reception was at their local Royal British legion club in Whitstable. The guests that were attending the wedding all met up in the morning at The Royal British legion first. From here transport had been laid on in the form of a double decker wedding bus to take guests to the ceremony.

Canterbury wedding venue

The ceremony took place at City Wall Tower chapel, also known as Zoar chapel in Canterbury. I have walked past this little venue numerous times without ever realising it was there! It is a beautiful chapel set with the tower walls of Canterbury. I travelled on the bus with Robin the groom and guests to the chapel. Claire also travelled in style to the venue with her bridesmaids and page boy in a beautiful wedding car. After the ceremony it was off to Dane John Gardens for confetti and group shots and then back on the bus to the wedding reception.

Whitstable wedding reception

The wedding reception at The Royal British legion was very much a diy set up as it is not hired out as a wedding venue. However with Robin and Claire being valued members there, they couldn’t think of having it anywhere else. With a beautiful outside space with room for a dancefloor and plenty of seating it suited their needs perfectly. The weather on the day also delivered with a beautiful warm sunny day.
